abstract painting, Abstract Expressionist painting, teal and orange palette, chiaroscuro: a scattered chorus of small mechanical birds perched on jagged dark strokes of empty theater seats, each leaning toward the others in a listening arc. Halftone dots build their metallic feathers in burnt amber and rust orange against deep teal shadow; one beak opens mid-note in a shaft of pale light. Jagged gestural marks, tense, tender, waiting.
